Alan Dowling is one of the nation's most prominent entertainment litigators, specializing in sophisticated, complex and high-stakes cases. His clients and adversaries have included some of the world's best-known recording artists, songwriters, performers, actors, producers, directors, business and personal managers, record labels, music publishers, motion picture studios and production companies. Mr. Dowling is especially attuned to the public relations concerns that arise, from time to time, in the course of litigating highly publicized disputes between people or companies whose reputations are of paramount importance to them. In addition to matters indigenous to the United States, he has handled numerous matters reaching as far as Mexico, Central and South America, the Cayman Islands, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Australia, as well as the former Yugoslavia and the former U.S.S.R., and many of his cases have been closely followed by the media, legal practitioners and entertainment industry executives around the globe.
